Steve Chicorel is an American independent producer who has lived and worked in Greater China for more than a decade, has extensive experience in promoting Sino-American film and television production cooperation and holds an MFA in screenwriting from the UCLA school of Film & Television.
In 2006, he joined Inferno Asia as the distribution executive, responsible for supervising the film The Lazarus Project starring Paul walker, Smother starring Diane Keaton and liv Tyler, as well as The Women, starring Meg Ryan, Annette Bening and Eva Mendes.
In 2015 Chicorel - founded Los Angeles-Beijing Studios, and provided the studio with projects such as Panda vs. Aliens, Stan Lee's animated project with Arcana Studios in Canada, released theatrically by A24 in the USA. Steve is also the founding producer for the current 60 Million+ budgeted Asian-American sci-fi project Ice Moon Rising, written by Rita M. Augustine.
In 2019 Chicorel, also co-founded OMG Organic Media Group with Chinese American Kelly Mi Li, EP of the hit Netflix series Bling Empire, and produced the feature films Echo Boomers and The Swing of Things in addition to the upcoming Taiwan-Australian co-production series called Interface for Sonar Entertainment.
March 2021, The FBI code-breaking series Cypher launches on the Roku streaming platform to over 60 million users - as Roku's first Exclusive Premiere program for which Steve is Executive Producer.
Born and raised in Taiwan, Taoyun Fu, has been married to Steve for over 20 years and their most significant production: two children, Annabel and Philip, whose first language is Mandarin.
