Joni Bovill

Despite being born the daughter of a poor sharecropper and a maid, Joni Bovill went on to become the first in her family to graduate from college. The multi-talented Mississippi native is best known for her recurring role as Ida in Amazon's hit show, Bosch, where she has appeared in all six seasons. Amazon Studios has announced a seventh season slated for 2021. Other TV and film credits include How to Get Away with Murder, Grey's Anatomy, NCIS LA, Shameless, Animal Kingdom, Life in Pieces, Sony Pictures' Concussion and Netflix's Come Sunday. She has appeared in numerous TV commercials, but calls the Fruit of the Loom "Flawless" spot her favorite. A published writer, Joni transitioned to entertainment after a successful career in marketing and HR in the Silicon Valley. As a singer, Joni has recorded lead vocals for indie label, Elmo Records, and sang on a number of national commercials, including Nike's iconic Kobe Bryant retirement ad "I Hate You", HP, Chrysler and Apartments.com's Super Bowl commercial with L'il Wayne. She's the creator and host of "A Good Friday", the weekly short-form inspirational program for social media platforms. Joni has been married to fellow actor, Kirk Bovill, for twenty-five years.
