Kathryn Stiefvater was born in Northern California and knew from an early age that she wanted to perform and that it was her true calling in life. Having begun theater/acting training at the age of 14, she was surrounded by tales of performance at an early age having a grandmother who was Olivia de Havilland's Stand-in in "The Adventures of Robinhood" with Errol Flynn. Her Uncle, George Clark is a documentary filmmaker who directed and produced "Brickpile to Broadway: The Story Of Slip Madigan And The Galloping Gaels". She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge and has found this background gives her tremendous insight into the scale of human emotion, which she incorporates in her craft in every way possible in order to provide truth within her characters or projects. She is currently working on a short film entitled "Bad Habits" which she produced in association with her production company "Habit Forming Films".
