Biography

Codie Scott,a 6' 2" tall blue-eyed Dk Brown haired man who first got his taste of the industry as a dirty blond at the age of 6 yrs old on the show "Popeyes and Pals" shooting New Orleans at WWL channel 4 studios. A small town kid who use to love to always play TV characters from his favorite shows. An oyster fisher who had his sights on something different and bigger. A young man who became SAG eligible when he got bumped up to a speaking part on his very first film set "Father Hood" starring Patrick Swayze. Only to have his scene edited out of the final cut. But Patrick was the first to encourage him to pursue a career in entertainment. That led him to his first taste of acting as Mac a bartender in a short for a college student named Zachary Godshall in 2003. The summer of 2005 faith would shine when he landed the supporting role of Jason, the professor in a small indie film titled "Shaman's Mark" where he would be the only actor to nail his lines and scene in one take. Tragedy from Hurricane Katrina would relocate him then to Hollywood California where we got his real taste of being an actor. After being casted in several indie films of USC and UCLA film graduates in small roles. He would also gain the support of many actors, directors, and producers in the industry to land an agent there. Codie again had to do background work to survive in many of the TV shows, pilots and films while living out there. But its here where his visions and creativity started to grow. After he realized his talent for writing and seeing the how, what, where, when and why of putting a production together. Unfortunely he would return to Louisiana where he decided was best to build and fine tuning his craft again in indie films. IN 2007 the film explosion took off in New Orleans and allowing him to expanded in working in many other areas of the production side of the Film & TV industry. His main interest and focus being Producing! He now has partnered with others to form a production company Purple Space Studio that will showcase his talents as an actor, while expanding the skills, vision,and creativity as a writer or producer. Soon many of his screenplays, TV shows, pilots concepts will be put into action for the whole world to enjoy.This man has a passion, soul and spirit that film needs and is a very kind, caring, fun, exciting, and humble person who has a "Dream" to help and share with them all he can to see them succeed. Just like his close friend and mentor "John McDougal" that recently passed away! Codie now promises to dedicate his life, heart and desires to making films in honor of this man. Someone who had a love, passion and desire for film. That saw the same talents and abilities that he had to offer to this industry. Codie's goal is to keep his memory alive of making the type of films John would have made. So all can enjoy, experience and witness the true creative genius of stories that he lived and eventually died doing.
