In 2001 Chase Graduated from Nintendo's DigiPen and began his 'world tour' of video game companies. This began in Los Angeles, CA with THQ and EA working as a Quality Assurance tester on Tetris Worlds and Medal of Honor Frontline respectively.
After finishing his work in QA, Chase moved to NYC to work for an indie game company, Mind Engine, where he designed various game models and pitches for local publishers. Chase worked in every aspect of game development from programming, design, and audio in order to establish preliminary designs for potential properties. Subsequently Chase then moved south to Morrisville, North Carolina to join Ubisoft's Red Storm Entertainment.
During Chase's two years at Red Storm he shipped a variety of titles within the award winning Tom Clancey Series including AAA title Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and its acclaimed sequel Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2. Chase worked on five separate titles rising from scripter to lead designer in the process.
In spring of 2006 Chase was made an offer by (then) Senior Producer at 2K Visual Concepts, Paul Weaver. Chase returned to the West Coast to work with Paul as the lead designer on the movie tie-in for Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer. Despite beginning the job with less than nine months to ship and no sufficient preliminary design in place, Chase delivered the game day and date with the film, including a 1st time worldwide submission pass with both Sony and Microsoft.
After a year stint as a design director on an unnamed project once in preproduction at THQ's Volition, Chase was offered a dream opportunity in November 2008 to work with Warren Spector on Disney Epic Mickey as Lead Designer. Upon completion of the award winning title, Chase continued to pursue his dream of making games where "playstyle matters" as the Design Director on the sequel, "Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two".
In fall of 2012, after serving more than a decade in development and design, Chase Jones left Junction Point studio to accept a position with publishing giant Microsoft. As a Design Director for the 'Core Games' division, Chase looks forward to working with cutting edge technology devoted to pushing the limits of design and the creative minds of the video game industry.
