John Lewis

Biography

John Lewis is an Emmy award-winning writer who began his career by writing and producing commercials and videos for clients such as Saturn Corporation. He went on to write and produce the hit branded TV medical series 'Vital Signs' and 'Minds of Medicine.' Produced in Chicago, Detroit and Philadelphia, John helped to make both shows a successful venture as many episodes were rated number #1 in their time slot often beating out syndicated shows and even Major League Baseball's World Series. John was nominated for an Emmy for his role as a producer in Chicago and went on to win two Emmys in Philadelphia - one for producing and one for writing. John has penned 8 screenplays, 4 sketch comedy revues, an original TV pilot, a spec teleplay of the current hit show 'The Office', and even a treatment for a feature film to begin production this summer. His screenplays have placed in competitions held by Austin Film Festival, Slamdance, Fade In Magazine and Writer's Digest. Just recently, John finished two spec scripts that he co-wrote with former 'Full House' star Dave Coulier. John resides in Los Angeles.
