Bud Perry

Biography

Bud Perry has been performing in various productions around the Reno/Sparks area since the age of 15. He started his training at Edward C. Reed High School under the dual direction of Tricia Pastore and Sheldon Haun. He was also vocally trained, (as a bass), under the direction of John Lorentzen. From his first time on the stage, he knew that acting might be something he would want to pursue in the future. "It's just knowing that you are providing a service to people that they can say, 'Hey, that was really fun... we should do that more often.' I guess you could say I'm and entertainment provider. Or rather, that I am just a sucker for applause." He then moved to Truckee Meadows Community College and under the dual direction of Carolyn Wray and Paul Aberasturi. He has performed in numerous productions while there, and is going to be teaching a class in the Spring 2005 semester where all proceeds from his class' performances go to scholarships. He started his film work with a small group of friends he calls, "The Tic-Tac-Toe team," putting on a few half hour shows to show to friends and family. He then worked with Christopher Hallock, a friend from work, to produce a ten minute movie entitled "Social Unrest." He was approached by Michael Olinger shortly thereafter to read a script, written by Mr. Olinger. Bud accepted the invitation, and a new chapter to this young mans life was born. Bud is now a board member of Gift for Fiction entertainment, (www.giftforfiction.com) and is currently in the pre-production stages for a few short films written by Mr. Perry, as well as a stop-motion anmiated movie being made by Jeremy Capurro and himself. His hopes for the future include being as big or bigger than Mickey Rourke someday. "I just figure I might as well start at the bottom and work my way up. Just kidding, Mickey."
