Kenyon Grey is a national recording artist, film director, producer, composer and an award-winning screenwriter. He's also a former professional firefighter from 1991-1999. Kenyon retired off the FD when he signed screenwriter contracts with Premier Management in LA in 1999 and signed a recording contract with RCM Records later that year.
"Heaven in Your Eyes", a song he wrote with Thurane Aung Khin, charted at #83 nationally in 2001.
That same year, Kenyon Grey received a Top 10 Artist of the Year Award! He performed at the prestigious CCMA/HMG Awards ceremony at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel, located near the Country Music Hall of Fame in downtown Nashville.
In 2002, Kenyon optioned two scripts to CEI Entertainment. Also, 1002 Productions in Nashville signed Kenyon to a solo music deal and brought in Grammy winner writer/producer Tony Marty with Curb Records. New Music Weekly, Billboard, FM Quarterback, Radio & Records, and Gavin gave the project a 4 out of 4-star rating.
In 2003, he placed six songs in the film The Sum of One. It led to Kenyon scoring music and writing additional storylines for the film Vampire Slayers, distributed by SPG Entertainment. He was also an executive producer on the film The Legend of Crown King, also with SPG.
In 2005, Kenyon wrote, directed and scored his first feature film entitled The Whistler, voted one of IFC's most watched web videos. Boll AG picked it up and placed it with Netflix and Hollywood Video.
Afterword, Kenyon focused on scripting Isom Dart, Savage Dawn, and co-writing Taming the Beast with Thurane Aung Khin. Isom Dart reached the Quarterfinals of the 2012 BlueCat Screenplay Competition, Savage Dawn was selected as an Official Finalist in the 2014 Beverly Hills Screenplay Contest and Taming the Beast reached the Quarterfinals of the 2016 BlueCat Screenplay Competition.
He also formed Sea Lion Global Films, LLC.
Currently, Isom Dart is under contract to finance and production is scheduled for 2022.
Kenyon continues to write and produce his film slate, including Taming the Beast, A Fairy's Tale, Kaleidoscope, Roid Rage, and Beacons, a script he co-wrote with his son Austin Shea Long. Each of these scripts are receiving some very high praise.
Also, Kenyon has embarked upon a faith based, 12-song live concert, television/film event, touring the country very soon. In November of 2021, his song "Ordinary World" debuted at #13 on the plaympe.com Top 20 Christian list!
