Karen Bellone

Karen Bellone is filmmaker and photographer, first breaking through in the early days of music videos with her production company, the award-winning Bell One Productions. After years of producing shorts, video and commercials, she moved into the direction of documentaries and experimental short films, winning the Silver Hugo award at the Chicago Film Festival for the groundbreaking film, Death By Unnatural Causes. She is also a sought-after still photographer for film shoots and art photography. Karen holds a BFA from NYU Film School and a Masters from New School as a director in the inaugural class of the Actors Studio Program. Recently she has formed a new production company with creative partner, Sally Norvell, called BelleVelle Films. Among several projects in development is the feature film Poe, a Metaphysical Love Story.
