VanNessa Manlunas

Van Nessa Manlunas is a young, emerging talent in the world of Cinematography. Graduated with a degree in Video Production and an award for Best Cinematographer in her class, she continued to work through the ranks to master her craft on her climb to career post college. Starting as a prep technician at a digital camera house during the week and loading film on the weekends, to eventually joining Local 600 Camera Union as a camera assistant and operator. She considers her time as an assistant to be an integral piece to her career. Working with the world's top Directors of Photography and most notable camera, grip, electric, and production crews. She is, and will continue to be, incredibly thankful for the such mentors and the humbling experiences. Van Nessa brings her passion and female perspective to her work, giving voice to women in storytelling and in a male dominated film industry. In 2013, she was honored as an Emerging Cinematographer by the International Cinematographers Guild, standing as the only woman recipient.And again she was the only woman representative as she was awarded the Diversity Scholarship to the ASC Master class in 2019.
