Biography

Drew Suppa is a Cinematographer and IATSE 600 Camera Operator living in Los Angeles, CA. Receiving formal training from the University of Central Florida's limited-access Film BFA program and having learned the craft of lighting from two-time Academy Award winner John Toll, ASC (Legends of the Fall, Braveheart), Drew erges his classical study of film with the latest technology and tools. Though trained on 16 and 35mm motion picture film, Drew was an early proponent of 4K digital acquisition cameras and has been mastering modern cinematic heavyweights ever since. His camera work has taken him to 24 countries and the most extreme and remote locations: North of the Arctic Circle and the blistering summer heat of Death Valley. Drew's cinematography has been showcased internationally at the Festival de Cannes' Court Métrage (2011) and has placed in the Top 10 in multiple domestic film festivals, including the Sundance Film Festival (2009) and the Producer's Guild of America's Make Your Mark Shorts Competition (2014).
