Biography

Robert "Bob" Kane is a writer and producer and has been part of the Toronto entertainment community for 21 years. He has produced TV, film and theater in Toronto. With his company, The Creative Alliance Network (CAN or SoupCAN), they continue to develop high concept TV & Film in Toronto, DC and Los Angeles. Growing their contacts and continuing to work in both mediums is a mandate of CAN. Bob has created, developed, PM'd and produced television for the last twenty plus years and with his colleagues they have had shows appear throughout the world on networks like Discovery, NatGeo, Jetix, Travel, Food, CMT and more. Bob spent 2009 and most of 2010 at Corus Entertainment where he helped PM and Produce multiple series and special events for CMT including Blue Rodeo Live at the Diesel and Johnny Reid Live at the Jubilee, both nominated for 2010 Gemini Awards. This in addition to working with major international acts like Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and many more. The focus at CAN of late has been content creation and development on factual properties. For CAN's most recent credit the boys worked with NASA to develop a one hour documentary called "Rocket Booster Rescue" for Nat Geo Int'l and History. With more than ten of their properties under option from a variety of quality broadcasters and production houses the boys remain busy but welcome more, of course.
