Biography

Chris Merrill has been an editor, camera operator and multi-camera director for over 25 years. His career spans a wide variety of television programming, including shooting and editing the wildlife television series "Safari" for the Outdoor Life Network from 1996-2001, technical director for over 150 episodes of the Marie Osmond talk show on Hallmark Channel, shooting Emmy winning humanitarian documentaries in Africa and Central America and editing over a thousand hours of broadcast programming - including shows for A&E, The Travel Channel and Discovery Networks. He has directed all different kinds of multi-camera event broadcasts, including seven seasons of the CW's Friday night series Masters of Illusion and the network broadcast of the annual Hollywood Christmas Parade for 8 years running. He's also directed the Hollywood Walk of Fame Honors, The Big Stage and The Christmas Caroler Challenge - all for CW. He has also directed a good amount of single camera programming, including Pop TV's street magic show Don't Blink and teen comedy This Just In. In 2017 for the documentary film Architects of Denial Chris traveled to Armenia and shot many of the interviews and much of the scenic b-roll in the film. Upon returning to the states he was one of three lead editors on the movie.
