Ashley Barker

Ashley John Barker was born in London on the 18th November 1957, 3rd child of Betty and Eric Barker. Ashley married and relocated from London to East Anglia to work for Anglia TV (now ITV). Ashley fathered 4 children with his wife Anne. Claire, Cloe, Catherine and Christopher. He worked for Anglia TV for 28 years and during this time made life long friends including Helen McDermott and Eddie Anderson. Some of his other works include the popular discovery programme Bygones, of which he has great fun filming alongside his good friend Eddie. He enjoyed spending time on the Norfolk broads with family and friend, fishing and water skiing. Ashley was popular and well loved character both socially and professionally and following his unexpected death in 2011 this was proven at his funeral when the turn out was so many that they couldn't all fit into the Crematorium. All of Ashley's family and friends miss him dearly and hope he has found peace after his passing.
