Biography

Omar Mouldouira was Born in Paris in 1973. He studied at "La FEMIS", where he received his diploma in sound engineering in 1999. He worked on several soundtracks for short films, feature films and documentaries. But his attraction for writing and directing finally pushed to direct "Moratorium", a short film which won a prize at the Contis Festival and selected for the festival "Images of Morocco" at the Arab World Institute of Paris. He participated in numerous writing workshops (the SACEM summer school studies program at the Moulin d'Andé, and Robert Mc Kee's Story Master Class) until he began lecturing himself in screen-writing at the EICAR film school in Cherbourg, and directing at the ESAV film school in Marrakech. Since then, he has developed several projects, but "L'Insoumis - the dodger" is the feature film screenplay for which the Beaumarchais Foundation awarded him a grant, and which he owes being selected for the Equinoxe workshop. April 2006, he wrote and directed two short movies "See me" and "Messaoud", in Casablanca.
