Tamae Elizabeth Ishii was born in Tokyo, Japan. At the age of 4 months, her family relocated to the San Francisco Bay area where she was raised. Tamae attended the University of California at Santa Barbara and has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
After graduating from USCB, Tamae starred in her first movie "Salvation" (1998) as a waitress. Tamae was also selected to be an NFL Cheerleader for the Oakland Raiders for 4 consecutive years making her the first ever Japanese citizen to become a professional cheerleader for the National Football League in the United States.
Tamae Ishii later attended Parsons School of Design in New York City and obtained a second degree in Fashion Design. In May of 2005 Tamae started her eponymous high end women's apparel line called "Ishii New York". She did many prestigious apprenticeships including a highly coveted one for Valentino in Rome, Italy.
Tamae Elizabeth Ishii currently divides her time between the Upper East Side in New York and the Bay Area in California where her family still resides.
