Callum Coates

Biography

Callum Coates was born in Kent in 1968, growing up in Godmersham and Canterbury. His family ancestry is London, Scottish, Huguenot, German and Uruguayan. Callum's theatre credits include the award winning "A Very Expensive Poison" at The Old Vic, "The Doctor's Dilemma" at The National Theatre, "The 39 Steps" in the West End, "Romeo & Juliet" and "King Lear" at Shakespeare's Globe and "A View From The Bridge" at the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse. He played Lord Haw Haw in "Propaganda Swing" at The Belgrade Theatre and Herr Zeller in the UK tour of "The Sound of Music", with Connie Fisher as Maria and Michael Praed as Georg. Recent TV credits include The Crown, EastEnders, Outlander, The Witcher, Red Dwarf, Inside No 9, a new ITV crime drama to be released in Autumn 2021 and in Spring/Summer 2021 is working on two BBC projects, yet to be announced.
