Biography

Raymond Hernandez Jr. holds a Cinematography Degree; a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, a Television Production degree; and attended special courses in Advertising, Marketing and Promotion in New York. In 1993, he established in Miami his own production group, which developed and produced several Film and Television projects, including Feature Films, Original Movies, Music Videos, TV Commercials, Television Specials and various television programs for the United States, Latin America and Europe. In 1996 he joined FM Entertainment in Beverly Hills as a Consulting Producer, supervising all the business and production aspects of the company, including feature films such as: "My Little Hollywood" with Sylvester Stallone and Dennis Hopper. In 1998 he decided to expand his production group from Miami to Los Angeles; for the development, production and distribution Worldwide of feature films, television series and documentaries; and the production of Advertising Campaigns, Television Commercials and Music Videos for the Hispanic Market in the United States and overseas, including an exclusive production deal with Sony Music International. In 2001 he accepted the challenge as an Executive Producer of "LATV Live," the first Bi-lingual television show in the United States based in Los Angeles, designed to capitalize on the current Latin music boom spreading across the nation. Also in 2001 he merged his two production companies into what is now Bluestar Entertainment, responsible for several productions for Sony Music and the Latino version of the world famous television show "Top of the Pops," produced by Hernandez for the BBC in London. In 2003, from the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, Hernandez produced the 5th. Annual "Latin Music Fan Awards," which aired on November 2, and was the highest rated show in 2003 on the Telemundo Network. In 2004 he created a talent management division within the company, and had an important influence in the careers of various Latino media icons, securing important roles and sponsorships in the process for television and film. Between 2005 and 2007, Hernandez produced and directed projects for Sony/BMG and Universal Records, two television pilots for Venevision International and Univision Network, and one reality-television pilot for Discovery Channel. In 2008 he was hired as a Production Consultant for the reality-show "Survivor-Spain," and at the end of the year produced the farewell concert for the world famous Latino Pop Band "RBD" in Madrid, Spain. Currently Mr. Hernandez is developing various television projects, including a reality show and a documentary, and three independent feature films.
