Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Gaston spent some of his childhood in Lima, Peru. Gaston is also known for being a member of the local music scene, including stints as the piano/B-3 player with L.A. Phunq Phenom WUDITZ, piano/B-3 player for Swamp Boogie Queen (fronted by Claude Raines' grand daughter Abigail Lenz) and piano/B-3 player for Francesca Cappaso's Blues/Soul incarnation "Francesca and the Flames".
Gaston is also a distant relative of George Scarborough (October 2, 1859 - April 5, 1900) a cowboy, lawman, and possible outlaw (disputed) who lived during the time of the Wild West, who was best known for having killed outlaw John Selman, killer of John Wesley Hardin, and for his partnership with lawman Jeff Milton.
