Biography

Larry Jay Tish is a Cambridge-based producer, playwright, TV writer, actor, director and educator. In 2017 the college educational play "The Black-Jew Dialogues," which Larry produced, co-wrote, and stars in was recognized as the Best Diversity Program in America, and has been touring college campuses for 11 years with over 600 performances in 45 states to date. In 2015, The Last Jews, which Larry wrote and produced was awarded a fellowship from the Boston Playwrights Theater and was later nominated by the Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) as the Best New Play in Boston. The Boston Globe commented, "Larry Jay Tish is making a career of wielding wit to battle the dark side of humanity." In 2013 his hilarious The Break-up of Cause and Effect premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe. Larry wrote, produced and starred in the production. From 20o8 to 2016 he wrote and starred in the segment How'd They Do That for the New England Patriots program Totally Patriots. From 1993 - 1995, Larry produced, directed, wrote and starred in the Boston hit sketch comedy TV program, Under the Nut. He is the co-creator and partner in Dialogues On Diversity, a social justice theater company. Larry is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America.
