J.K. Hunter

JK Hunter is a Professionally Trained Makeup & Airbrush Artist, Hair Stylist and Barber to the stars. Beginning her career in 1993, JK attended Joe Blasco MakeUp School. She has worked in most genres of entertainment and has acquired a long list of credits in Film, Award Shows, Theatre, TV, Photography, CD covers, Commercials, Music Videos, Editorials, Internet/Websites projects, Industrials, Infomercials, Print for advertising, Billboards, Runway/Fashion shows, Bridal/Weddings and Special Events. Ms Hunter was the Key Makeup, Hair & Barber for the 2010, 2008, 2007 & 2006 Stellar Awards and the 2007 Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards. She hires and manages large crews of makeup artists, hair stylists and barbers. Hunter also is a MakeUp and Hair Designer for theater. She specializes in visual character development, budget management, capturing the director's vision for a role, and then teaching the actor(s) the correct application to fit the character. She designs & creates character wigs, prosthetic pieces, beards, mustaches, bullet holes, scars, wounds, plus monster/creatures for theater and movies. Additionally, JK is also a custom wig maker; facilitates makeovers, makeup classes, weddings, personal makeover and consultations. She has made numerous television guest appearances were she gives makeup advice, tips and trends, does on-air makeovers and answers viewer questions.
