Lertsiri Boonmee

Biography

Lertsiri Boonmee (Mark) grew up as a New Yorker in the Bronx. Graduating from The New York Film Academy NYC campus with his thesis film "The Other Half" shot in 16mm, he screened it at various film festivals including the New York Film and Video Fest and Bangkok Film Festival. With a background in music production, voice over and production services, Lertsiri and Vutichai joined together to create MarkED Creativity. Credited on National Geographic Asia "Record Rides", Lertsiri got to work alongside pro shooters and succeeded as a cast member for a Guinness World Record attempt. The first directorial feature debut was a drama indie film "Lhong", aka Lost in Bangkok (2012) dealing with the many facets of being lost in life. SLR was then developed and was even spotlighted at the 2014 NAFF project market at Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival as one of the big ideas coming out of Thailand. Lertsiri and Vutichai got their shot to both direct and write for their horror suspense "SLR" (2022). Lertsiri's main approach to story telling is to reflect upon an underdog story line, given how he remembers his own struggles of living in the Bronx.
