Shannon Kimberly Torrence was born in Melbourne, Australia to Wilson Mack Torrence, a financial executive, and Darlene Torrence, a homemaker and special education teacher. Shannon attended Montessori preschool in Bedford, New York, kindergarten in Orinda, California, middle and high school in Westport, Connecticut and graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia with a degree in Mass Communications.
