Poppy Lane

Poppy's acting work was only a sideline to her real job as a nurse, and she enjoyed juggling the two. She retired from nursing in 1993, and continued with her acting roles until ill health forced her to cut down. She was born and bred in York, and loved her home city dearly. Her last role was in "Hetty Wainthropp Investigates" in 1998.
