E.J. has been involved in the media industry for nearly 20 years starting with Local TV Access broadcasting in the 1980s, in Bloomfield, Connecticut just outside of Hartford. Coincidently, across town a young Howard Stern was also making his radio debut.
During the same time, E.J. was a "self-taught" pioneering Rapper, Party Promoter & Hip-Hop DJ while attending Syracuse University. Not only in New York City was there a hip-hip music explosion, but in Upstate New York a little known DJ Magic Supreme aka E.J. was performing live DJ mixes on the radio and at Black fraternity and sorority parties.
E.J. was a part of a rap duo producing music, writing lyrics and developing other artists that performed around Upstate New York. E.J. was integral to providing a musical electronic extravaganza during live concert shows in the mid 80s. At that time it was unprecedented to perform DJ mixing using more than 2 turntables with electronic music samples of not only music, but movie sound bites and "spoken word", in order to deliver to the music listener an "Ear-Orgy" sensation.
