British Actor and award winning Voice Artist grew up in South Wales. Trained at Webber Douglas Academy, also has a BA joint Hons degree in French and Drama London university. Best known in Uk as Eddie in the award winning musical 'Blood Brothers' on the first Uk National Tour , and then later in the West End London. Playing opposite David Cassidy, Stefan Dennis, and Helen Reddy, Stephanie Lawrence, Bernie and Denise Nolan amongst many others.
Tom played the leading role of Detective Gavin Archer in South Africa's ETV popular series "Gold Diggers" and has played impactful leading roles in dozens of popular SA Drama series and Soaps. He has featured in many International Movies including 'Doomsday', 'Amelia', 'Blood and Oil', "Revolt" alongside many top Hollywood performers, and played a leading role in the action film 'The Message' using his various martial arts and weapons training. Also appearing in UK TV shows such as " Our Girl" and " The Crown", and even speaking french in Belgium series "Salamander"
With over a decade of leading roles in UK theatre productions including Hamlet on UK tour, Romeo at the Everyman theatre Cheltenham, and "Mark" in the acclaimed "Inner Circle" Y touring's National theatre production. He has also appeared on stage In South Africa playing Jake in the acclaimed two hander comedy production "Stones in his Pockets", and the title role of Jerry in Pinter's play Betrayal.
He is an award winning Voice Artist voicing dozens of campaigns for top global brands (www.tomfairfoot.com) which have won awards in the Gold and Silver categories at the "Cannes Lions" advertising awards, as well as numerous South African advertising awards for the "Loeries" and the television promo awards, "Promax'. He has narrated numerous international documentaries, has been the main announcer for the local SATV "Mnet" channel and the voice of the National Geographic Channel and Nat Geo Wild international channel for many years. He also voiced two international comedy children's animations playing various characters.
He set up and ran a successful actors agency Implementing more efficient payment and marketing methods, whilst also training new talent into the local voice industry in South Africa. He was also resident writer on the ETV youth soap Backstage and wrote for the absurdist comedy series "On the Couch", which aired on SABC3 from 2008-2012. He created the comedy Pilot and series "Space Africa" which garnered interest with various production companies and SA broadcaster Mnet. He has worked in comedy ( stand-up and improv) and musical improv in the UK (West End) and in SA alongside Joe Parker and his team. He wrote and produced the short film, "A Soldiers Story", on the Falklands which received special selection at Palm Springs Festival 2001 and was picked up for broadcast by BBC Wales. He also wrote and produced and presented "Making Movies" for Channel 4 later and is Currently involved in Independent filmmaking in UK and SA.
