Enza Love

Biography

Enza is a commissioned artist - mostly known for her sculptures and oil and acrylic paintings. She enjoys modeling and exploring the great outdoors. She is an advocate for the rights of and services for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing and Hearing Loss communities. Enza had a background in theatrical arts at EC Drury School for the Deaf in Milton, Ontario, Canada. From there, she was later cast in three different films at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. The CBS film, directed by Karen Arthur, "Bridge to Silence", starring Lee Remick, was a highlight for Enza. She went on to some other films, including the short film, "Am I Dreaming" where she played the leading role of the Wife (The Dreamer) in Anselmo DeSousa's thriller. Her television credits include Sue Thomas FBEye where she played the role of Melissa Harmon, a mother whose child was kidnapped. She then was a co-host for Deaf TV along with Anselmo DeSousa. Recently there has been a documentary about "Enza and Thom" that has been shown in film festivals around the world. The short, about a deaf woman and her relationship with a hearing man, has been acknowledged with a number of awards and accolades from juries, festival organizers, and audiences. Her modeling agency was Just Models Inc. She did print and runway presentations. She was independently represented when, in her 30's, she was considered young enough to be one of the infamous 'Sunshine Girls' in the Toronto Sun newspaper. She has a BA in Art from Gaullaudet University in Washington, DC and a BEd from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. She is highly skilled in American Sign Language and has taught ASL in a number of schools for the Deaf in Canada and in the United States. She was a member of VSO and went to Tanzania in Africa to teach deaf children in their native signing language. Other skills include: dancing, marksmanship, ukulele playing, painting, sculpting, stunt work, water and snow skiing, bicycling, motorcycling, boxing, and self-defense.
