Leny Caler

Leny (or Leni) Caler was an well-known actress and singer in Romania during the interwar period . She had affairs with well known writers like Tudor Arghezi and Mihail Sebastian or Camil Petrescu . She inspired the character Doamna T from Patul lui Procust .She ended her career in 1957 . She died in Berlin in 1992 , where she lived the last part of her life . Her memories , Artistul si oglinda ( The artist and the mirror ) were published as a limited edition in 2004 , with the newspaper Realitatea Evreiasca ( The Jewish reality)
