Biography

Alex Pereira is a founding partner of Magnetic 2 Media, and co-founder of Paraiso Pictures. He is an Emmy Nominated producer who began his career in entertainment in Los Angeles, California, at ICM (International Creative Management), one of the most powerful and respected talent agencies in the World. There he collaborated in projects such as the Lord Of The Rings (trilogy), Moulin Rouge and Pirates of the Caribbean amongst many projects the agency was involved with. Seeking to become a producer, he left ICM to work closely with one of the top Hollywood managers, Joanne Horowitz, whose clients included Kevin Spacey and Michael Chiklis. While at Joanne Horowitz Management, he collaborated in projects such as The Life Of David Gale, Beyond The Sea, 21, The Shield, and Fantastic Four. In 2006 Alex became a founding member Paraíso Pictures, a company structured to building a bridge between Hollywood and the Hispanic market. Since starting Paraiso Pictures, he has produced the critically acclaimed and award winning feature film "Paraiso Travel", starring John Leguizamo and Ana De La Reguera, the International Emmy nominated mini-series "Operacion Jaque" for TVE, the Telemundo TV special "Paulina & Friends", the National Geographic documentary "Inside: Farc Hostage Rescue", the TV series "Endurance Traveler" for Fox Sports Network, the feature film documentary "Infiltrados" for Univision, "Fuerzas Comando", a military TV series, and most recently "Drug Wars", a docu-series for Fusion Network.
