John Lowell

Biography

Upon receiving a call from Bob Huber, the Senior Vice President at FOX, John Lowell and his Mom moved to Los Angeles, CA, in 2000. Lowell met with Huber, along with many agents who showed interest in the young actor. The 10-year-old quickly booked several national commercials, including a P.S.A. for Drug-Free America, Nestle, and Burger King. In 2002, Lowell was a guest star on Disney's Lizzie McGuire with Hillary Duff. In 2003, he landed a role in Tim Burton's Big Fish (Columbia Pictures) alongside Ewan McGregor, Albert Finney, Jessica Lange, and Danny Devito. Lowell then moved back to Nashville, TN, to attend high school at Nashville School of the Arts, where he excelled as both an actor and musician. In 2007, Lowell worked on a local feature film, For The Love of a Dog, alongside Sherman Hemsley (The Jeffersons) and Willa Fitzgerald. In 2008, Lowell screen-tested for the Hannah Montana Movie (Disney) and was considered the favorite to land the love interest opposite Miley Cyrus. Down to two, the role went to Lucas Till. Lowell moved back to Los Angeles in 2009 and landed a supporting role in the independent feature film, Almost Kings, alongside Alex Russell (S.W.A.T.), Portia Doubleday (Mr. Robot), Alex Frost (Elephant), and Billy Campbell (The Rocketeer). After a hiatus in which he toured the country in a Rock N' Roll band, Lowell lives in New York City and continues to pursue his lifelong dream of acting.
