Biography

Hailed in Los Angeles, CA where his community was sandwich by surroundings plagued with gang violence and drug addiction. As his parents fulfilled professional careers as well as charged with an entrepreneurial spirit, Bervick managed to channel his energy into organized sports and education. Nearing high school graduation, Bervick found the love for filmmaking as not just an art form for business and creative endeavors, but later learned filmmaking is an antidote for adversity. Bervick, an award-winning filmmaker, naturally possesses the eye of a director and has acquired a comprehensive understanding of production aspects while working in all visual mediums for the last 15 years within Indiewood. Certainly, Bervick has been battle tested to handle film/television production of any size while facing uncharted project constraints and setbacks. Bervick is an all around true exemplary of grace under fire; his attention to detail combined with his sizable skill set of production management under stressful conditions ensures that every production maintains the proper level of quality and efficiency. Bervick is a large proponent of accountability and uses market strategy trends to advance development of business and/or creative vehicles. In addition, he has a gift for story development, script writing, producing and cinematography. Bervick has developed and created film/television projects with well-known celebrities such as, Vanessa Bell Calloway (Shameless), Wood Harris (The Breaks, The Wire) and Doug E. Fresh (Hip Hop Legend). Bervick has amassed over 10,000 hours within the fast paced TV/film production environment, scripted nearly over 1,000 pages, and independently directed, produced, written and/or camera operated over 750 hours of content. Bervick's credits include: Jive Chicken (feature) (2001), Gladys Knight & The Pips LIVE in Las Vegas (2005), NBC's NFL Pre Game Segments (web-series) (2008), Me Iz Manimal (short) (2009), Friend Box, ranked top finalist at the Hollywood Hills Screenplay Competition (2015), LAWEBFEST's Outstanding Docu-Reality Series Award (2017) for Mouthful (Web Series) (2016), Paradise Inn (short) (2016), and A&E Networks' Akil:The Fugitive Hunter (2017). Bervick continues to craft quality stories/concepts for both mainstream and niche audiences ahead of current market trends. His concept of visual style, storytelling skills and directing ability, combined with his tasteful creativity, super team mindset, passion to achieve excellence and drive to motivate change are what makes award-winning filmmaker, Bervick J.
