Joel Prieto

Joel Prieto Toropchanin was born in La Habana, Cuba. From Rusian mother and Cuban father. After studying a career in Mechanical Engineering in 1999 he decided to leave his career and focus on studying film. In the year 2003 he graduate from Film Editing at the International School of Cinema and TV of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. In 2009 he debut as an editor whit the feature film La Bodega (The Wharehouse), directed by Ray Figueroa. Till now he has work in about seven feature films as en editor, his last work was Donde Nace el Sol (Where the Sun Rise) directed by Elias Jimenez.
