Biography

Joseph Curdy's father is South American Indian-Hispanic, his mother Scandinavian-British. Labeled as a "bright but unfocused child" in school, he navigated through public school on a C- average. In college, however, he flourished, winning scholarships in the performing arts due in part to his stage acting. In 2000, he was accepted to study literature at Cambridge University, England. After receiving his B.A. in Literature and an A.A. in Theatre, his love of the theatre led him to study at the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon where he was awarded his Masters in Shakespeare Studies in 2004. During his studies in England, he was cast as a supernumerary in the RSC's 2004 production of 'Hamlet' starring Toby Stephens for a 44-performance run attended by HRH Charles, the Prince of Wales.
