Risto Tuominen

Risto Tuominen is a Finnish filmmaker who received a Master of Fine Arts in Directing from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. His thesis short film Tides (2014) received the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation's Production Award, and was nominated for Best Short Film of 2015 by NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA). Tuominen has worked in numerous feature films, television series, and commercials. He also served in the Finnish Defence Forces and took part, as an army officer, in the peacekeeping operation in Afghanistan.
