Over the past two decades, Jonathan has established a highly successful career Executive Producing, Co-Producing and Producing more than 45 feature films. He is a highly sought-after producer with the ability to oversee productions from script to distribution. He brings all of this experience to Chair 10 Productions as a Partner and Producer.
Jonathan's credits include For A Good Time, Call (Sundance Film Festival), Odd Man Rush (Jack Mulhern, Dylan Playfair), Unleashed (Justin Chatwin, Kate Micucci, Sean Astin), She's in Portland (Minka Kelly), Big Bear, The Windmill, and She Wants Me (Josh Gad, Charlie Sheen, Hillary Duff). In addition to producing films, Black has produced numerous national commercials for brands like Coca-Cola, McDonald's, Lowe's, Wal-Mart, Mercedes Benz and Home Depot.
Jonathan also was the owner of Nighthawk Studios and co-owner of the Wembly Hall Theatre Company, where he developed and produced projects. These productions included the reality television show "Not on the First Date" as well as The Misbehavers and the award-winning film Abby Singer (with cameos from Brad Pitt, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Don Cheadle).
In addition to his producing career, Jonathan was a board member and executive of the Hamilton New York International Film Festival, which over the past 12 years has established itself as one of the premier summer film events in the Northeastern United States. Jonathan also worked in Event Productions for the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. Having served in the U.S. Air Force, Black graduated from the Airman Leadership School as an honor graduate. Subsequent to his service, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy from Utah State University, where he is an alumnus of Beta Theta Pi.
