Silven Read

Silven Read has been an active member of the science fiction convention and the Society for Creative Anachronism communities across some years and kingdoms and states. She wandered into the Contact crowd at a WorldCon in San Francisco, helping as an ecologist for scientifically based alien worlds and cultures. She was filmed in the BBC/Discovery Channel special "Natural History of an Alien" or "Anatomy of an Alien"; only for a few minutes, a bit longer than her part in "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath". She is featured in person in the BBC production discussing how to design alien ecologies, especially as seen on the planet Epona, a group project in the mid-1990s that began at a Contact convention.
