Biography

Amy Drewry is a renowned, multiple award-winning documentary filmmaker and is in the final stages of completing an hour long documentary, with support from the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities & other organizations, on one of Virginia's most important stories and specifically to air on PBS. Her work in the documentary genre include "Wired For Life", "Surviving Abundance", and "Kingdom By The Sea...Fortress Monroe", award winning and shown at Cannes. Amy's work in film, theater, television and digital web-based platforms has allowed her to produce in multi-genres as both Director and Producer. In 2014, she directed the theatrical production "Ruined" for one of the most respected HBU's, Hampton University. Other theater directing credits include "Crimes of the Heart", "Smokey Joe's Cafe", "Dracula", "Steel Magnolias", and others. Amy currently lives on a small, diverse, working farm in Virginia.
