Nikola Dragovic was born in Paris in 1968 where at the time his father was working as an architect. His parents moved back to what was then known as Yugoslavia when he was a baby.
He finished elementary and Architectural high school in Belgrade. During his high school days he decided not to continue in the family's footstep that is to become an architect and decided to become a film editor. The passion for film editing in fact resulted for his biggest passion in life that is his love for comic books.
In 1989 he was accepted both to the Academy for Dramatic Arts in Zagreb, then Yugoslavia and to the FAMU in Prague then Czechoslovakia. He opted for Zagreb considering that at that time he would only have to move to another city and not country. When the war broke out in Yugoslavia, he decided to finish his studies in Zagreb.
Upon graduation fro the Academy for Dramatic Arts in Zagreb in 1994 he returned to Belgrade only to leave and work for a year in Moscow, Russia.
In 1996 he returned to Belgrade and stared working in advertising as a freelance editor. Apart for working in advertising he has edited several films both for TV and the big screen.
