Biography

Justin Hynous is an editor, writer, and producer known for My Soul To Keep (2019) and Jinn (2014). Justin has over 20 years experience and is versed in all aspects of the filmmaking process. He has delivered films shot digitally and on 35mm for North American and International markets. Justin was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. He started his career as a creative editor in the advertising industry, working on national ad campaigns for some of the largest agencies in the country. He transitioned to feature films in 2009 when he edited Annabelle & Bear (2010). The small indie film went on to win numerous awards across the country. In 2010 Justin teamed up with Exxodus Pictures to co-produce and edit Jinn (2014). Justin filled various roles on this project, producing over 300 VFX shots and post-supervising the film through Warner Bros. Post and Skywalker Sound. Jinn was released theatrically across the world in 2014, and is available on all major streaming platforms. My Soul To Keep (2019) is his latest film project which he produced, wrote, edited and co-financed. The film has screened and won "Best Feature" at several distinguished festivals across the country. Justin explored new ways to minimize post costs for this project. MSTK is available on all major streaming platforms. It was released in North America on October 2019 by Vertical Entertainment and Internationally by Octane Entertainment. Because of his vast knowledge of the post-production process, Justin was hired to post-supervise Adam (2020) for Gilbert Films in 2019. He oversaw all the deliverables to Voltage Pictures. The film, starring Aaron Paul, was released in North America in Sept 2020 and is available on all major streaming platforms.
