Schani Krug

Biography

Was a former editor of Parade Magazine, and a freelance photo journalist for the Associated Press and UPI while attending college. He also forged his career working for "Sesame St.," and "The Electric Co.," alongside stars such as Bill Cosby, Rita Moreno, Irene Cara and Morgan Freeman. He has won numerous awards for his photography, and designed the album cover for Stevie Wonder's Grammy-winning album, "Hotter Than July." Schani also worked as a sound and creative consultant for this hit album, as well. During his career in Hollywood, he was nominated for 3 Emmys ("Outstanding Technical Achievement For Camera Work"), and worked on countless episodic TV shows, including: "Sanford and Son," "Chico and the Man," "The Rockford Files," and "Baretta." He was a regular cameraman on "Days Of Our Lives," and "Santa Barbara," (receiving Emmy nominations for the latter), and worked on "The Tonight Show," and "The Midnight Special." He's an avid collector of antique muscle cars, and loves to restore them in his spare time. Schani produced, directed, and wrote, "Marilyn's Man," an award winning and successful Indie film about the life of Jim Dougherty, Marilyn Monroe's first husband. It reveals her unknown story of how she took Hollywood by storm as the most renown Icon that ever graced the silver screen. He is now producing and directing a new reality TV show about Harvey Webber, an hilarious and successful antiques dealer and auctioneer, and preparing to shoot a big budget sci-fi thriller in New Zealand. A period romantic comedy is in the works, which will be set in the late 1960's, to be filmed in upstate New York, and in NYC. Schani enjoys his Philanthropic work, and has mentored formerly violent, street-worn gang members from East L.A., and steering them into jobs in the TV and film business, by taking them on sets, and introducing them to movie stars, as well as teaching them technical and production skills.
