Prior to decoded, Jordan acted as a prolific solo-artist, independently releasing an album ("Identity" in 2009), three singles ("Conquer the Night", "Ruthless Butterflies", "Addicted to the Revolution"), an EP ("Humanist" in 2010), and a five song musical novel ("Predators" in 2011) in the span of two years. His most notable solo work accomplishment was having two songs from "Identity" ("Hold on Tight" and "War with Your Love") on the 2010 Official Grammy Awards Ballot for Best Solo Male Rock Performance and Best Rock Song.
