Guy Gibson

Was a Royal Air Force (RAF) Wing Commander in World War II. He formed the elite 617 Squadron (The Dam Busters) and led the squadron on its most famous mission, the attack on the Moehne and Eder Dams. Won the Victoria Cross for his performance on the dams raid. He also earned two Distinguished Service Orders and two Distinguished Flying Crosses.
