Biography

Born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee in 1979, The child of two medical professionals, Matt Barnette was put into "gifted" classes due to his proficiency in the arts. He immersed himself into music and drawing and excelled at both. A baseball career was cut short with an injury, sending him down the film path instead. After enrolling in Watkins Film Institute, he stayed there for three years, before moving to Portland, Oregon to further his film career. It was there, teaming with 'Jamie Fowler' and the Avid Film Camp production crew on several independent movies such as Damaged Goods, New York Spin & Leather and Iron (2002). Barnette moved to Arkansas in 2002, and was producing shows for ESPN's Outdoors division and was Creative director of ESPN.com's Outdoors website until 2009 when he went into non-profit fund raising. Barnette returned to TV in 2013 and produces promotional material for NBC and FOX.
