Kokomo Jr.'s TV career spanned the 50s, 60s, 70s, and early 80s, with appearances on many major network TV shows, such as The Today Show with Dave Garroway, The Tonight Show with Jack Paar, The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, The Steve Allen Show, To Tell The Truth, and The Candid Camera Show with Allen Funt.
Over the years, Kokomo Jr. had been privileged to meet and/or perform with many various stars, such as Buddy Hackett, Joey Bishop, Diahann Carroll, Phyllis Diller, Merv Griffin, Red Buttons, Tony Bennett, and Jack Benny, to name a few.
In addition, Kokomo Jr. had done a considerable amount of work for many non-profit organizations, including The Leukemia Society of America, The American Heart Association, The March of Dimes, The American Cancer Society, and Mayor Daley's Citizens For A Cleaner Chicago.
In 1982, Kokomo Jr. and owner, trainer and best friend, Nick Carrado, retired from show business and started another business, Monkey Packaging Tape, which presently specializes in providing businesses with shipping room supplies nationwide.
During retirement Kokomo Jr. resided in the home of Nick Carrado and his wife in Matthews, NC where he enjoyed painting,eating spaghetti and drinking the occasional beer. Kokomo Jr has since passed. He was over 50 years of age and is dearly missed.
