Sciltian Gastaldi is a writer, journalist and educator. He completed a Ph.D. in Italian Studies at the University of Toronto (2012). He also graduated in Political Sciences at the Sapienza University of Rome (1999), in International Relations at the University of Bologna (2000), in Journalism at the Urbino School of Journalism (2002), in History at the University of Bologna (2004), and in Education at the University of Rome III (2006). He published two novels (Pequod 2004, Fazi 2010), a collection of short stories (LRP, 2009), a cultural studies pamphlet (Nutrimenti, 2005), two volumes on American history (Lindau 2004, Effepi 2006), and a few academic articles on Italian Cinema and Literature. He collaborated to the scripts of: Casablanca Express (1989),Jiboa, il sentiero dei diamanti (1989), L'uovo del cuculo (cowriter and Assistent Director) (1992),La strana storia di Olga O (1995),Il sogno che uccise mio padre: storia di Ezio Tarantelli (2014); Archimedes Know-it-all (2012); Scylla and Charybdis 1908: the Earthquake of Messina (2005); Union Square (2004); Crime versus Crime (2003); Cu2O (2001). His theatre plays are: Tutta colpa di Miguel Bosé (2014); Angeli da un'ala soltanto (2013); Too Young To Live (2008).
