Born and raised on his three-generation family dairy farm in Somerset County "America's County", Pennsylvania. Elder brother of two sons of Kenneth Weimer, Sr., a life-long dairy farmer, and Susie (Mitchell) Weimer. Took over operations of the dairy farm before his father passed away from cancer in 1970. Exclusively a dairy farmer for more than 25 years before he began dabbling in other adventures.
Lives within 30 miles of both the 9-11-01 Flight 93 crash site and the "9 for 9" or "Miracle Miners" rescue site.
In high school, was in the chorus and participated in his Senior Class play. Many years later, he saw an advertisement announcing open auditions for local extras for a movie depicting the rescue of the nine miners trapped for 77 hours underground. Was chosen to represent one of the ministers who comforted the families while awaiting word of the miners' fate.
