Born in Toronto, Canada, Adam lived in Austin and Santa Fe before settling in Vancouver, British Columbia for his formative years. There he studied acting at the University of British Columbia and the prestigious Studio 58 program at Langara College. Five years of working as an actor in film and TV, while developing his own original screenplays, culminated in a relocation to Santa Fe, New Mexico where his production company the SaneAsylum Syndicate was born. The collaboration quickly produced a play, a myriad of short films, including the award-winning "Potage de Ma Mere," and numerous music videos. Their first feature film: "Shedding Skin," written, directed by and starring Mr. McLean, was completed in the Fall of 2007 and was subsequently selected to play in the Academy qualifying 8th annual Santa Fe Film Festival as well as the 9th annual Gulf Coast Film Festival. Adam took on the same duties for the second feature film from SaneAsylum Films "The Pardoner's Tale," which was selected to play at the 2009 Santa Fe Film Festival, the 2010 Albuquerque Film Festival (where it secured a distribution deal from Gulf Coast Films), and the 2011 Action on Film Festival in Pasadena, California. Adam lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
