Jake Ross is one-half of the directing partnership known as Pocket Jakes.
Jake Ross & Jake Dolgy met in their final year of high school and quickly became best of friends through their mutual love of film and a shared dream of one day making movies.
They spent the next few years developing their individual skills as filmmakers, while loosely collaborating on each other's projects.
In 2010 they decided to join forces and the singular director Pocket Jakes was born.
'Online Now' is the directing duo's second short film after the no-budget thriller 'w4m', which premiered at Montreal's Fantasia Film Festival.
And like 'w4m', 'Online Now' was made on a very limited budget. However, friends, family, and countless creative professionals all donated their time and support to help realize a truly one-of-a-kind vision. Thanks to their help the Jakes didn't have to limit the scope and ambition of their vision as they sought to delve into the world of contemporary online social interaction and create a film that is as frenetic and transient as the internet itself.
