Jenna Baker

Jenna (Hovland) Baker knew early on that her passion was screenwriting. She attended New York University and earned a BFA in Film & Television. While attending school, she worked for TriStar Pictures in the literary development department as well as for film producer Scott Rudin. In 2000 she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in entertainment. She began as an assistant to a reality television producer and gradually worked her way up the ranks until she was producing the shows herself. She found that the story editing portion of her job allowed her to craft stories much in the same way that she would in a script. Jenna worked on various productions including Temptation Island, Paradise Hotel, Race to the Altar, Married by America and The Swan, Seasons 1 & 2. Although she enjoyed working television, her heart was still in feature film screenwriting. Throughout the years, Jenna has written five screenplays, all centered in the romantic comedy genre. Additionally, she has published three comedic detective books. In 2005 Jenna moved back to New York with her husband to start a family. She currently works as a Senior Director at an international meeting and events company. Her favorite part of the job is the long plane flights and quiet hotel rooms which allow her to continue to indulge her true love - writing.
