After graduating from De La Salle high school, Hoyt Christopher was recruited to play water polo at The University of Southern California. Even though he was majoring in Business, he could be found in front of a camera more frequently as time went on. It was during this time that he was scouted and signed by LA Models and starred in several student films. After graduation, Hoyt began working for MTV Networks as a casting director and segment producer before landing his first Network TV spot as the host of McDonald's "Shuffle Board 55" on MTV.
During the last eight years, he has traveled around the world hosting over six shows for E! Entertainment's "Wild On". Another project was hosting the one-hour music video, nightlife, fashion and extreme sports show "Makin' Noise" for KTLA, which was the highest rated show in it's time slot. Another project was the entertainment news magazine show called "Us Weekly". Then it was off to Vegas! It was then that he hosted both "Ultimate Poker-Vegas-LA" and the one-hour Las Vegas entertainment news show called "Action Vegas".
Hoyt is currently the co-host of "Makin Love Happen", a relationship talk show to help women with author and host Lou Paget for the WE Network. Another current project is for the rich man's travel, lifestyle and mojo called "Mode".
As an actor, Hoyt was a recurring character on "Days of Our Lives", he was one of the leads in a series for VH-1 called "Red Eye" and he was cast as Kyle, the confident New York entertainment news host for an independent film to be released in late 2006 titled, "Gratuitous Violence". He recently guest starred in the new hit series "The Nine" on ABC. He plays the role of Josh, the host of the Good Morning Los Angeles television talk show. He interviews Egan Foote(John Billingsley), an unlikely hero, but a hero all the same.
Hoyt is currently (2007) writing his first book, titled "Sweetness is her Weakness". It is a "Hip" self-help book for men on how to improve their relationships with women.
When not working, he lives in Los Angeles and trains for triathlons, rock climbs, bakes desserts for his candy company, "ManMade Desserts" and writes.
